Exactly a year ago today, Benjamin Asher Lee came laughing into our lives--literally.
He's been smiling since the day he was born, and has always managed to keep everyone who enters our home light-hearted and giggling. His radiant beam is contagious! And now our little 'Benny-Bunny-Baby-Boo' (don't ask) is one.
So, little brother got a traditional Lee wing-ding for his first birthday: no face-smashing-into-the-cake, no pinata, no million guests--just the grandparents. I don't think he would have had it any other way, though! He just enjoyed being the center of attention for two hours. Which got me thinking...
...what did the other little Lee babies look like on their first birthdays? After about an hour of fishing through old photo albums and scanning some pretty ancient pictures onto the computer, I succeeded in compiling all the pictures onto one folder to be uploaded onto here. Enjoy! :)
On Daylon Christopher's first birthday, we were just moving into our current house after being in Germany for three years. All of our things were still somewhere over the Atlantic ocean, so we were borrowing fold-out tables and chairs from nearby family. Random fact: Daylon was the only little Lee who couldn't walk by his first birthday.
Quenton Solomon (called almost exclusively Po) celebrated his first birthday in Germany on September 20th, 2005. Here he enjoys his birthday dinner in his high-chair. He looks a lot like Daylon and Ben...hmmmm...
We were visiting relatives on my dad's side of the family in Washington State when Hannah Grace turned one. She received many gifts, but her favorite was undoubtedly the pink bear she is chewing on in the photo. Random fact: Her eight-year-old sister (me!) gave her the bear.
Greyson Alexander!!! He has been unanimously voted the cutest baby (why does the third child always get all the cute genes?? I don't know either...) in the family. When he was one, he was already running, jumping, climbing, and throwing rocks.
Richmond Nevin atop his many birthday presents (June 1997). Random fact: the big box held an incredibly fun device called "splashketball" (a sprinkler/basketball hybrid). I have many fond memories of Richmond and I running through the sprinkler in our front yard in Mississippi. P.S. Look at the cake! (haha)
Well, now, who might this be? Very adorable child, if I do say so myself! I don't actually remember my first birthday party (sadly), but I'm told it occurred on July 25th, 1995. Random fact: I was the only Lee baby born bald. *Sigh* ;)
